Creating femtolitre droplets for single molecule encapsulation

We are working with a UK university team that has developed a novel  microfluidic technique to enable the rapid and controlled formation of an emulsion containing monodisperse aqueous droplets with a 1 femtolitre volume.  The technology is expected to impact on single molecule detection, enabling the observation of rare but critical biochemical transformations, or detect the smallest trace of a chemical in biology, medicine and the environment.  The IP is based on 2 components; the development of a microfluidic chip and also novel surfactants to stabilise the drop.  Please contact us for more detail.
